Eleven individuals were recognized on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 with a graduation reception for completing the Direct Support Professional program offered through Flint River Technical College, Economic Development Program. A formal ceremony celebrating this event was hosted on the campus of Flint River Technical College.
The Direct Support Professional certificate program is designed to enhance the quality of services and support to individuals with disabilities by ensuring they are supported by competent, responsive and supportive Direct Support Professionals.
“We are proud of our recent Direct Support Professional graduates. It is my hope that these graduates will continue to pursue educational opportunities in the future that will enhance their skills and ultimately make these individuals more valuable to their respective employers,” comments Mark Andrews, Vice President of Economic Development for Flint River Technical College.
