Flint River Technical College commemorated the reopening of its library with an official ribbon cutting and naming ceremony on Monday, November 17, 2008, at 9 a.m.
Located on the main campus of Flint River Technical College, the library has now reopened after undergoing a $300,000 renovation this past summer. The renovation was made possible by a generous donation given by the Windhover Foundation, the charitable arm of Quad/Graphics of The Rock, Georgia.
The ceremony featured Mrs. Elizabeth Quadracci Harned, Director and Trustee of the Windhover Foundation, and Dr. Kathy S. Love, President of Flint River Technical College.
With help from the members of the Thomaston-Upson Chamber of Commerce, the employees of Quad/Graphics, the Flint River Technical College Local Board of Directors, the Foundation Trustees, faculty, staff, and students, the new library was officially unveiled as the Quad/Graphics Library.
