United Bank is collaborating with Flint River Technical College to become Certified Work Ready. This collaboration is a part of a work force development drive where business can validate their workforce and demonstrate that they are “work ready” through the Certified Work Ready Community program. This process will enhance the partnerships and strengthen the business individually as well.
To be “work ready,” individuals take three one hour assessments, which will be administered through Flint River Technical College. The three assessments are Reading for Information, Applied Mathematics, and Locating Information. The questions are a part of the WorkKeys system through ACT that is designed to benchmark required skills for the workplace. Results will be categorized in four levels: bronze, silver, gold, and platinum.
