The Windhover Foundation presented a check for $300,000 to President Kathy Love on Thursday, December 20, 2007, at Flint River Technical College. The donation will be used in expanding and enhancing the College’s library. The library’s expansion will allow for increased student seating, space for additional books and other learning materials, and will include private study areas.
“This is the largest single donation we have ever received,” said FRTC President Kathy Love. “We are thrilled that the gift is from Quad/Graphics because of the great relationship we have with the company and with Barbara Tyson. This donation will allow us to expand our library and receive more funds on a state level for the library,” explains Love.
Established in 1983 by Quad/Graphics founder, Harry V. Quadracci, the Windhover Foundation is a private foundation funded by Quad/Graphics and the Quadracci family to fuel innovation, entrepreneurial organizations that focus on meeting unfilled social needs.
