Over 100 Students Attend Lunch and Learn at Flint River Technical College

Over 100 students attended the Community Resource Lunch and Learn Workshop at Flint River Technical College on Monday, August 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The workshop focused on overcoming barriers that may hinder student success in occupational training.
Community representatives provided valuable information about the various services available in the surrounding area. The speaker panel included Upson County Department of Family and Children Services, Workforce Development Center, Upson County Health Department, Childcare Resource & Referral, Vocational Rehabilitation, and Workforce Investment Act (WIA) program.
