Taylor County High School and Flint River Technical College team up to offer Certified Nursing Assistant Program
Taylor County High School and Flint River Technical College have teamed up to offer students a way to get a jumpstart on their technical college education by providing the Certified Nursing Assistant program on the Taylor County High School campus.
The 9 month program began in August and will conclude at the end of the school year. Student enrolled in the classes can earn college credit towards becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant and will be able to find employment opportunities in hospitals, hospices, and nursing homes.
The instructor for the Certified Nursing Assistant program is Tammy Stinchcomb, and the courses include Nutrition and Diet Therapy, Introduction to Health Care, Patient Care Fundamentals, and Medical Terminology.
